About Hop-On Hop-Off London Tour

Explore all of London with our Hop-On Hop-Off London Bus! Board the bus at any one of the 35 stops, and travel easily wherever you want to go. You'll pass by famous sites like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and other landmarks. An audio guide and free river Thames cruise are also included. Choose between a 24-, 48-, or 72-hour ticket.

PRO TIP

Save the Thames River Cruise for after you’ve explored the bus route. The cruise gives you a completely different perspective of London’s landmarks, and doing it after seeing them from the streets helps you recognize places like Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Tower of London from the water.

Ideal for exploring the city

We were only in London for 3 days, so we really didn’t have a lot of time to sightsee. That’s why this London Bus Tour was perfect. You drive around, and see all the main sites in London in a few hours! It’s a nice relaxing way to get a feel for the city without stressing over traveling. Plus I feel like you still see a lot even if you don’t go inside any attractions. There’s still Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, and a bunch of other stuff that’s impressive just from the outside.

Amazing value for money

You actually get so much with the Hop-On Hop-Off London Tour. Obviously it’s an amazing way to sightsee the city, but the audio guide is a nice bonus. Great way to learn about London history! We also did the Thames river cruise, and that was just beautiful. Try to catch it at sunset if you can - great experience. Plus there’s also a walking tour in London included in the ticket, which we didn’t take advantage of. I’m kind of regretting it now. All in all, you really get a LOT.

DESCRIPTION

London Bus Tour

TAKE THE RED ROUTE TO DISCOVER CENTRAL LONDON

Take the Red route to see London’s most iconic landmarks. You’ll see the highlights of the city center. For example, famous Thames bridges: London Bridge and Tower Bridge. St. Paul’s Cathedral is another must-see stop, as the mother church of the Diocese of London. You’ll also pass by Buckingham Palace, where the English monarchy lives. And, of course, the nearby Houses of Parliament where the UK’s government meets. Right next door will be the famous clock tower Big Ben.

EXPLORE LONDON NORTH TO CENTRAL WITH OUR GREEN ROUTE

If you’re staying in North London, the Green Route is perfect for you. It connects King’s Cross and St. Pancras stations with central London. And there are plenty of interesting landmarks along the way. For example, the British Library is right next to Pancras Road. It’s one of the largest libraries in the world, holding an estimated 170–200 million items. As you journey south to the city center, you’ll see the British Museum. This museum is huge, hosting 8 million permanent works. The Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology will also be nearby.

TRAVEL THROUGH WEST LONDON ON THE BLUE ROUTE

Start at the Marble Arch, a 14-meter high triumphal arch. From there you can either explore Hyde Park on foot, or circle the park on the bus. You’ll pass through Kensington, home to Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace. Shopping lovers will be glad to see the famous Harrods department store along the way. And if you’re interested in art, the Victoria and Albert museum is also located on this route. It’s the world’s largest museum of design and decorative arts!

MAKE SURE TO ALSO ENJOY THESE EXTRA ACTIVITIES

There are free add-ons to the Hop-On Hop-Off London Bus depending on your ticket. For example, if you pick the 24-hour ticket, you receive a free River Thames Cruise! On the other hand, a 72-hour ticket gets you a complimentary Night Tour. These extras are included, so be sure to make the most of them.

PRO TIP

Don’t underestimate London traffic. A bus route that looks short on the map can take much longer during rush hour, especially around Westminster, Trafalgar Square, and Tower Hill. If you have timed plans after the tour, leave more buffer time than you would for the Tube.
