SEE LIONS, TIGERS, GIRAFFES, AND MORE!

Visit the Land of the Lions and meet the London Zoo’s Asiatic lions! This is an Indian-themed part of the zoo, as the lions come from India. They are critically endangered, with only about 600 wild specimens. You can also travel to Indonesia to the Tiger Territory. There, you can see Sumatran tigers, the smallest subspecies of tiger. Fun fact: they like to ambush their prey, as they can only run fast for a short period of time. They are also critically endangered. LOOK UP AT THE GIRAFFES

Continue your journey to meet the tallest land mammals - the giraffes! Since they are the tallest, if other animals see giraffes running, they run, too. They are very social animals and live in groups of up to 50. A few of them stay in the burrows looking after their pups while the rest look for food, so they have babysitters, too. See the biggest primate, the gorilla. Fun fact - we share more than 98% of our DNA with these giants! See them play and lounge around in their habitat. Colobus monkeys are unique because they don't have thumbs, unlike other monkeys. You can see them hang out in a walk-through habitat. Next, you can walk inside an enclosure where the day and night are reversed! See the creatures that are active at night, like the Pygmy slow loris. It is the only venomous primate, and one of the only mammals that can produce a toxic chemical. You can also see lemurs from Madagascar and tiny animals like butterflies and spiders.

EXPLORE THE UNDERWATER WORLD

Find your way to the coral reef tank and catch sight of schools of fish passing by. See the famous clownfish, which likes to live in an anemone. Fun fact: male clownfish take care of the eggs until they hatch, and all clownfish are immune to the anemone's poison. These fish can actually communicate using sounds–they can make popping and clicking sounds! Moon jellyfish will be slowly drifting in their tank. This species was orbiting around the Earth in 1991 to study the effects of gravity on their development!
