A great view of London
The views are amazing from the Shard and the exhibition was interesting, too. We managed to see buildings like the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, and more. There was a security check, and once we entered, we were able to stay up there as long as we wanted.
Visit at sunset if you can!
Stunning views! The weather was good and we went around the sunset, so the sky was really beautiful. We were up there for about an hour, including the exhibition they have. I'd recommend a visit to Shard when in London, because the views are really great.

ABOUT THE SHARD
The Shard was a unique addition to London's skyline in 2012. Its glass sides incline inward, and the building is 310 meters tall. It has 95 stories and is the UK's tallest building! The Shard's architect, Renzo Piano, was inspired by the spires of churches in London. He also found inspiration in ships' masts in painter Canaletto's works from the 18th century. The architect's vision was to make it look like the building was a sculpture rising from the Thames. The Shard was meant to be a lively place, with offices, restaurants, stores, a hotel, and residences.

The Shard's architect, Renzo Piano, sketched the Shard the first time he heard about the plans for the project! He was having lunch with Irvine Sellar, the building's developer, when inspiration hit. He drew a rough sketch on the back of his menu in a couple of seconds.
